St. Francis Solano School serves the families of the St. Francis Solano Parish and the Sonoma Valley by cultivating an atmosphere of academic achievement in which students live and embrace Roman Catholic Values.

Guided by our Pastor, Reverend Alvin Villaruel, St. Francis Solano School is proud to provide a Roman Catholic faith-based foundation for its students.  We are welcoming and inclusive of students of all faiths.

The text that is used to support the religion curricula is the Faith and Life series presented by Ignatius Press. Particular emphasis is placed on the Sacraments of Reconciliation and First Holy Communion for students in the second grade and Confirmation for students in the seventh grade.

Blessing of the Animals

This fun fall afternoon is an opportunity for all St. Francis students to bring their pets to be blessed.  Dogs, cats, fish and even chickens are regular visitors to this blessing, and children who do not have a pet are weclome to bring their favorite stuffed animal.

Second Grade Reconciliation & First Holy Communion

Second grade is a very special year for St. Francis Solano Students, who celebrate the sacraments of Reconciliation and First Holy Communion each spring. All students in the class have the opportunity to participate in the ceremonies and celebrations regardless of whether they are receiving the sacraments or not.

Seventh Grade Confirmation

At the end of Seventh Grade, students who feel ready to be confirmed into the Catholic faith may select their sponsor and have Confirmation with Bishop Vasa.
