Mrs. Lazzari has been with St. Francis Solano School since 1998. Through her many years at the school, she has had many important roles. Since 2000, she has been the Director of Children’s Center. Through her leadership, the Children’s Center provides a safe, fun filled environment for students in need of after-school care. Children’s Center offers a variety of programs. The Homework Club provides a supervised and quiet place to do homework. In addition, there are daily art projects, crafts, and outdoor games. Mrs. Lazzari also teaches upper and lower division Physical Education classes. As part of the extensive Physical Education curriculum, Mrs. Lazzari trains the upper division students to complete the mile run in the spring.
Mrs. Lazzari and her husband have coached over 20 seasons of basketball and volleyball. Mrs. Lazzari’s passion for coaching volleyball has earned her team the CSL Championship for eight years in a row. A favorite of the students is the annual Jump Rope For Hearts fundraising event which Mrs. Lazzari organizes. In this endeavor, St. Francis raises money for the American Heart Association. Seventh and eighth grade dances would not be the same without Mrs. Lazzari’s devotion to chaperoning each dance for the last several years.
Mrs. Lazzari and her husband have lived in Sonoma for over 20 years. Their son Pat and daughter Chelsea are both graduates of St. Francis Solano School. The Lazzari family enjoys outdoor activities, travel and sports.
