2012 St. Francis Sonoma County Science Fair Participants

science_fair_for_webpage_1.JPG

These eight 6th and 7th graders represented St. Francis at the county science fair on
2/8/12.  They made us proud, bringing home many awards.  Hanna M. on top of winning a
ribbon, won $100 for herself and $100 for our science dept. from the Rare Fruit Growers Association and won the Director's Choice Award. This last award was one of only two given for over 140 projects.  (That's Hanna holding the plaque).  She will also be competing at the State Science Fair - Good Luck Hanna.  Congratulations to all our participants - You make us proud. Of course our students would not be nearly as successful without the brilliant and dedicated tutelage of Mrs. Salvatto, our science teacher.  Hip, Hip Hooray!! /home/CA49709536967368/google2baea7cfab24da79.html google2baea7cfab24da79.html

St. Francis Robotics Team

Makes Us Proud

Robotics_winners__Medium_.jpg
Our Robotics team deserves a congratulations for representing our school so well at the Northern California "For Inspiration and Recognition in Science and Technology" competition held in Vacaville on Saturday Nov. 19th, 2011  They were there all day from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. and had to compete on four different stages.  Our 12 students were split into 3 teams, one of which, the A-team, scored high enough in these four categories to place them amongst the top teams.
