The St. Francis Solano Dads’ Club is truly something special and our dads throw some of the most legendary parties in town. They are as fun to work as they are to attend, and everybody has a great time while raising funds for the students of St. Francis.
The first weekend of every November, the dads work together to throw a casual and fun celebration that few Sonomans want to miss – Italian Night. The dads themselves cook and serve delectable pastas, sausage and peppers and other delicious Italian dishes as guests from all over the community enjoy cocktails, wines, and live music.
In the springtime, the dads transform Father Roberts’ Hall into Sonoma’s most exciting nightclub, Club 342. Featuring a DJ, photo booth, ice luge and late-night taco truck.
The Dads’ Club Mission Statement
The Dads’ Club, in supporting the Catholic values of the school and parish, sponsors events and functions that promote friendship, camaraderie and long-lasting relationships in the St. Francis community. Our passionate commitment to our children, their well being, goals, and aspirations motivate us to give back to the community and set an example that the children can follow for the rest of their lives.
The Brian Hanson Memorial Education Fund
Another extremely important function of the St. Francis Dads’ Club is the creation and support of the Brian Hanson Memorial Education Fund and annual Brian Hanson Spirit Award.
Brian Hanson and his wife Suzanne have been exemplars in our community who have dedicated their time, talent and support to ever-furthering their daughters’ academic opportunities and successes. Brian’s shining smile was present at all Sacraments, sporting events, pageants and award ceremonies. His strong handshake and infectious exuberance were a mainstay on the Saint Francis Solano Dads Club Board. Brian’s support, generosity and devotion to family and service are honored and remembered in the form of The Brian Hanson Memorial Education Fund. Brian’s three beautiful daughters’ educations at Saint Francis Solano School, Justin Siena High School and future Collegiate Studies will be supplemented by this fund for years to come. Thank you for your generous donation to the legacy of service that Brian inspired in his daughters, family, friends and community.
Donations may be made directly to the school office. Please make checks payable to St. Francis Solano School. Please reference “Hanson Memorial Education Fund” with your gift.
The Brian Hanson Spirit Award
The Brian Hanson Spirit award is presented each year to an 8th Grade student who demonstrates enthusiasm, dedication and heart. It is accompanied by a $1000 award to be used to enhance the student’s educational pursuits.
